It seems like Mission Impossible 6 will go global when filming begins early next month. As per an update on casting site my entertainment world, the film will shoot Paris, France – as previously reported by THR – as well as undisclosed locations in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Production was originally set for 2016, with star Tom Cruise teasing a fast turnaround time while promoting the fifth entry in the popular franchise, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation back in 2015. Production grounded to a halt last year due to a salary dispute between Cruise and Paramount. That dispute was settled in September.

No plot details have been released at this time, though the film will delve into Ethan Hunt’s background and personal life.
“I’ve seen five of these movies and I don’t know who Ethan Hunt is.” Says director Christopher McQuarrie in an interview with Empire. “One movie sort of dealt with his personal life; the other movies are about people speculating what’s really going on in Ethan’s head. I want to know who Ethan is in this movie, I want an emotional journey for this character, and Tom really embraced it.”
Christopher McQuarrie returns to the franchise after having directed and co-written the series previous instalment, Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation. Mission: Impossible 6 stars Tom Cruise & Rebecca Ferguson, with Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Alec Baldwin rumored to be returning as well. The movie is aiming for a July 27, 2018 release date.
Which global landmarks would you like to see Ethan Hunt visit? Any stunts you’d like to see in these locations?…
