The Wolverine Composer Returns For Logan
This past summer film composer Cliff Martinez, know for works such as drive and war dogs (as well as being an early member of the “Red Hot Chili Peppers”) was announced as having signed on to score Logan, Hugh Jackman’s final wolverine movie. That no longer seems to be the case as Logan director James Mangold confirmed on twitter.
In response to a fan on twitter, Mangold revealed that Academy award nominated composer Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, The Hurt Locker, The Wolverine) has come on board to score the film. No word yet if any of Martinez’s score will be kept in the final version of the film.
In the near future, an aging Wolverine and Professor X must protect a young female clone of Wolverine from an evil organization led by Nathanial Essex.
Directed by James Mangold, Logan stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier, Dafne Keen as X-23, Stephen Merchant as Caliban and Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce. Logan is set for release on March 3rd.
