A Dread Induced Journey
Virtual Reality is a booming market, and film studios are starting to take notice. It’s been announced today that filmmaker Ridley Scott is teaming up with The Fox Innovation Lab to develop an “Alien: Covenant” VR experience.
Set for release on “Major VR Platforms,” the game is detailed as “a dread-inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe.
The experience sounds terrifying and everything one could hope for from a VR game of this nature, where: “Viewers will discover the true meaning of terror as they navigate through horrifying alien environments and a story where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.”
One can only imagine the terror. While an early demo of Alien Isolation with VR was released, that version of the game was never completed. No release date for Alien: Covenant VR has been announced, but it is expected to be released roughly around the same time as the movie this upcoming May.
