From Mentoring One Hero To Another
With the massive success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — both critically and financially — all eyes are turning to Lucasfilm as they continue casting for Han Solo, the next stand alone film in the popular franchise.
After being tasked with mentoring a young Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games franchise, Woody Harrelson may have found a new role guiding another apprentice in Halo Solo.
Variety reports”that, while talks are still in the early stages, Harrelson is the top choice to play Han Solo’s mentor in the upcoming “Star Wars” spinoff starring Alden Ehrenreich.”
The report also mentions that “executives wanted this role to go to an actor with considerable clout, and started meeting with actors over the past several weeks.”
Alden Ehrenreich is set to star as everyone favorite “scruffy looking nerf herder,” with Donald Glover portraying a younger Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke appearing in an undisclosed role in the film.
Han Solo has a tentative release date of May 25th 2018.
