From Comics To TV – Bringing Ghost Rider to Life

Marvel Entertainment have just released a new video on the creation of the newest Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes. Agents of Shield executive producers Jeffrey Bell and Jed Whedon discuss how they decided on bringing the character to the small screen and how the comics inspired the portrayal on the show.

The featurette also includes comic book writer Felipe Smith and artist Tradd Moore along with editor Mark Paniccia discussing the original creation of the character in the Marvel comic books. “Trying to find the right artist for the book was really tough” says Paniccia “we wanted someone who had a really cool style but also someone who could draw vehicles. Vehicles are one of those things a lot of comic book characters shy away from because they’re hard, but when I saw Tradd’s stuff i just thought he was the perfect choice for the book.”
