Debuting this past summer in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland’s appearance as Spider-man was easily one of the best parts of the movie and fans have been eagerly waiting to find out when he’ll appear back alongside the rest of the Avengers. After much speculation it has been confirmed that the wall crawler will return to help the avengers take on the mad titan Thanos in The Avengers: Infinity War.
In a recent interview with Vogue Italia, Tom Holland revealed that he will be appearing in the upcoming film, which is set to begin filming in the next couple of weeks. Here is a rough translation from the article:
“The blessing for the role of Spider-man also comes personally from Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. It was they who convinced Marvel. The producers wanted to be sure they had the right person before trusting me with three movies in 4 years among which is Avengers: Infinity War.”
From the man himself – Spider-man will be joining the Avengers. Spider-man will next be seen later this year when Spider-man Homecoming hits theaters on July 7th.
The Avengers: Infinity War will have the biggest cast yet starring Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Chris Evans (Captain America), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff), Robert Downy Jr (Iron Man) and many other actors reprising their roles from previous movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still no word on if the defenders will appear in some capacity. The film releases on May 4th 2018.
