Both of Marvel’s newest television series are set to start filming in just a couple of weeks, as revealed in today’s updated postings on casting site myentertainmentworld.com
Marvel’s Runaways will film in Los Angeles under the title of Rugrats. Created by Y The Last Man’s Brian K. Vaughan, the Runaways comic book is centered on a group of children who are shocked to discover that their parents are all a part of an evil criminal organization. Avengers: Age of Ultron writer-director Joss Whedon also wrote the Runaways comic book for a time.
The series currently has a pilot order at streaming service Hulu, one of Netflix’s top competitors in the United States. Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will serve as showrunners and executive producers on the series.
Only a day after actors Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt were announced as the lead actors in Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger and we now know that the series will film in New Orleans under the title Shadows. The show was originally set to take place in New Orleans, back when it was in development at ABC Family in 2011. It remains to seen if the current iteration of the show will use any of the material from the previous versions development.
