It seems as though there’s new developments about a Marvel television almost daily now, with today’s reveal for Marvel’s The Inhumans shooting date. Thanks to a listing on casting site myentertainmentworld.com, we now know that the project will start rolling before cameras on March 3rd, with filming locations for the series scheduled to take place in Chicago, Los Angeles and Hawaii. The series will film under the title of “Project Next.”
The Inhuman Royal Family were originally set to debut in their own movie during Marvel’s phase 3 of films, though after some corporate reshuffling it was announced that the characters would instead appear in their own miniseries on ABC, with the first two episodes debuting in a limited run on IMAX screens later this year. Black Bolt, Medusa, Maximus The Mad, Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal and Triton are all expected to appear in the series.
Although Inhumans have played a major part on Marvel’s Agents of Shield over the past few seasons, the new show is not expected to cross over with that program.
With a shoot date fast approaching, it shouldn’t be long before Marvel confirms the core cast for the series.Rumors have already begun to hit the internet that the roles of Medusa, Gorgon and Crystal may have already been cast. Given that it was only a day after the core cast was announced for Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger that filming locations and shoot dates began to appear online, we expect to hear more about The Inhumans imminently.
Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the cosmic series. Marvel’s The Inhumans will screen on IMAX for two weeks starting Labor Day weekend. The series will premiere September 26, 2017 on ABC.
